Breakers Practice Blog - 8/7/09

Blog written by Boston Breakers media relations intern Jess Lander.

It is do or die for the Breakers.

Sky Blue FC won their game on Wednesday so the Breakers can’t lose on Sunday, or else their season is over.

Again, if they win, they are definitely in play-offs.

If they tie, they need Sky Blue FC to win in tomorrow’s game against Washington to advance. So, going into Sunday’s game, we’ll know exactly what we need to do and what our chances are.

Needless to say, practice has been a l… Continue

Intern on the road with the Breakers (Part II)

Blog written by Boston Breakers media relations intern Jess Lander.

The remainder of my trip…

Here’s a little more that I learned from a few other players, mostly through dinner:

Sofia doesn’t like lemon cake and is one of those people at the restaurant that you’re embarrassed to be with because she asks a million questions and angers the server. At first I figured everyone was maybe exaggerating a little bit, but then this happened two out of two times I was around her. Everyone still… Continue

SO as Heather Mitts is a free agent now it seems to me,that probably the Breakers are losing another Player to go to Philadelphia... ? I was kind of surprised anyway that A-ROD was traded ..but after all maybe its a new chance for her to show her talent and if she wasnt that happy at the Breakers-no matter for what reasons or decisions of any coaches.... maybe its the best step for her.. but a real pity for the breakers, cos I personally think, that Boston is losing a great talent, which got along well with the other players! Good Luck A-ROD and good luck to the other players..to go for the Independence Schmedes and Webber! We'll miss you!

I would personally like to call for Tony DiCicco's job. He clearly does not know what he is doing. First he can't even get the most talented WPS team into the post season and now he traded A Rod, which he never played anyway. Give me a break! You Suck Tony!

As you may know Sky Blue FC's last home game is Wednesday night August 5th at Yurcak field. The game starts at 7:00PM. This should be an exciting match due to the tight playoff race Sky Blue FC is in as well as the great giveaways that fans will receive at the game. Their will even be a jersey auction where you can bid on game used jerseys!
