Pride's staff has made mistakes but Pride have potential to be a great team. They need a couple Brazilians, but I am happy they picked up Niki Cross. Not happy about trading away Whitworth, though!!!!!!!!!

LOL... yeap seems someone got a little off the topic,... but anyways... USA vs Germany... who will win?? And I cant wait to see the final transfer list from Pride...will see who are the next bench players..

Easy everyone... Let's stay focused. Brazilian soccer rocks like no other. Unfortunately the Pride leadership doesn't see it that way. The Pride is all we have in terms of women's soccer around here, and I think if we stay united and bang the drums loudly enough, things will change (hopefully). Will I be buying season tickets anytime soon? Nope. But I'll still bring my daughter to the occasional game so she can see some women's soccer.

On a slighty different topic, the Stanford Women's team is kicking butt right now. I've been to a few games, and its nice to get really close to the field and watch them.

Wow Mittsfan.....you're reading WAY too much into this. This is love of Futbal and my friends nothing else. Using gringos and racist is waaaaaaay out of control in your last post....You're correct you have been more than supportive of the Brasilians so I'm just going to take this last post of yours as frustration........you know. I just love Brasilian Soccer, their flair and style and them as people..... point blank and I choose to support them rather than other players......my choice. If you want to blow things up and out of proportion....go ahead it's your choice.

IF you were to go back into this thread you will see I have been very supportive and very bitter that these ladies were not playing.
I would be a RACIST if I spoke like you.....


Rock ~ believe it or not even us gringos love the game and can see that Marta is the greatest female player in the world, thus the sell outs where ever she plays. Much like when the Yankees or Lakers go into another city, the ticket sales rise because people want to see greatness..... go figure.

What a great way to EXPLAIN to everyone our feeling and thoughts.. and true, will see when Marta comes down, who will they use to make the extra cash for does pics and stuff...
I will start saving for that trip... will be the best ever!!!

There are many of us fans including myself who have much in common with the Brasilian players, we're hispanic, Brasilian etc....and love Futbol......it's in our blood and we watch and play it as much as we can. I don't expect everyone to understand......Sissi, Marta, Formiga, Christiane, Fran, Erika, Nene, Rosonna....etc....are an extension of us when they play because they think and play futbal the way we like to play and see it on the pitch. So yes we are very attached and emotional when it comes to them..... When the WUSA and the CyberRays were here my daughter immediately took to Sissi, Katia and then Prethina......not Brandi or the other players....why because she saw herself in them. Am I going to sport Pride gear going forward?.....NO.... Will I take in matches?....YES......It's no wonder that the biggest crowds at Buck Shaw where when Marta and LA came and the Promo was "Battle of the Samba Queens" and take a pic with the Brasilians......go figure huh. Joga Bonita!

Gallit0 I do look at the Santos site......it's beautiful to see them all playing together and having fun....such magic to watch. Rio 2016!!!!! Be there!

Im not supporting the TEAM because of poor playing style thanks to the coach.. not ONly because of the Brazilians.. I can still see them play at their home town, and support them.. I will support WPS, but not a team that i dont like the style of play., and next year will be the same for Pride because of the Coach... Get it right MittsFan... We support our Brazilians friends NO MATTER what, and where ever they are..I love SOccer for its game... So i will support WPS because I want the league to stay... but not FC GOLD PRIDE... until, they drop the damm coach....

Yeah, come on, folks....don't let one guy's poor decisions ruin your love for the team. This is the only team we're going to get, and I'm going to support it no matter what. I don't want the WPS to go away...I want it to thrive and grow. As for Chastain, I don't mind at all that she's on the team. Yes, she definitely will attract casual fans to the games. Yes, real soccer fans are smarter than that, but look around at the games...how many real soccer fans are there? If you ask the average person on the street, they couldn't name a single soccer player of either sex from any country, but if you dig deeper, Brandi would be one of the first names to surface because of her (freaking awesome) 1999 season. I know it ties up a roster spot, but if I owned the FCGP, I'd love to have her, too. Most importantly, though...she's my top pick to replace Montoya as head coach. THAT would be good both for the team's success on the field and at the box office.
